Fall Prevention for Seniors

The Fairfield Public Library Health Matters series will host a discussion on Fall Prevention for Seniors on Tuesday, June 26.  The lecture will be held in the Rotary Room of the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road at 2 p.m.

Dr. Stephanie Warren and Sara Beckert will discuss ways to reduce your risks of falling.  They will demonstrate key exercises you can do easily in the comfort of your own home.  Handouts will be provided that contain vital information to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Warren’s extensive medical background stems from her four years of study in a double major of Physical and Health Education and Life Sciences at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.  She also received her Doctorate of Chiropractic from the New York Chiropractic College.  Sara Beckert, M.S., is the Fitness Manager and Community Wellness Program Manager for Physical Synergy.  She leads the wellness program for the Westport Fire Department, sits  on the board of the Fairfield Fitness Council and is an adjunct professor at Norwalk Community College in the Exercise Science Department.
Advanced registration is required due to the limited space.  All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free of charge.  For more information and to register for this event call 203-256-3160, or visit us on the web www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org .  Follow the Fairfield Public Library on Twitter: www.twitter.com/fairfieldpublib and Facebook: www.facebook.com/fairfieldlibrary
