Feeling Stressed? Learn to Live with it @ the Fairfield Public Library

The Fairfield Public Library Health Matters Series will again host psychotherapist and yoga teacher, Erika Alexia Tsoukanelis on Monday, December 5.  Living with Stress:  An Experiential Workshop will be held in the Rotary Room of the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road, at 7 p.m.

Stress is a necessary part of life and triggers our bodies and minds to take action.  Stress is also an inevitable part of life.  The simple day-to-day tasks of life can cause stress as well as challenges, surprises, celebrations and loss.  How we deal with stress, good or bad, makes a difference in our mental, emotional and physical health.

Ms Tsoukanelis , MFA, RYT-200, LCSW holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Sarah Lawrence College and earned her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University.  She has worked as a psychotherapist in hospitals, clinics and residential settings.  She is also a certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher, who holds advanced training in iRest Yoga Nidra, an evidence-based transformative practice of deep relaxation.  Her private practice is located in Westport.

Join the workshop and explore the nature of stress and your reactions to it as you engage in a deep relaxation exercise.   Please register for this program by going online to www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org  or for more information call 203-256-3160.  Follow the Fairfield Public Library on Twitter: www.twitter.com/fairfieldpublib  and Facebook:  www.facebook.com/fairfieldlibrary.  All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free of charge.
