Job Search Tools @ the Fairfield Public Library

Learn how to use the Library’s valuable, free online resources to assist you in your job search with reference librarian Judy Sparzo.  Included in the Library’s system are:  directories with industry and executive information on 14 million companies; a free resume review service; online continuing education courses; test prep for career exams, including firefighter, EMS CDL and real estate agent.  This program will take place Friday, March 16, 9:30-11 am at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

Judy Sparzo, MLS, has been the coordinator of the Fairfield Public Library Jobs series since its inception in 2009. Over 3,000 people have attended jobs programs in the past three years.  A recent survey indicates that participants have found the series a “life saver” and many individuals attribute their finding employment to the information and training they received from the series.  The talks are supplemented by the Library’s Friday morning networking group, a LinkedIn networking group, one-on-one career counseling sessions, Job Search Boot Camp, podcast recordings of over 100 past presentations online (www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org), and an updated collection of job-hunting books.

All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free.  Register online at www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org or for more information call 203-256-3160.  Follow the Fairfield Public Library on Twitter:  www.twitter.com/fairfieldpublib and Facebook:  www.facebook.com/fairfieldlibrary.
