Marketing Yourself for Jobs Using LinkedIn

Learn strategies and techniques for conducting a job search using LinkedIn as a branding and marketing tool with LinkedIn expert Marc W. Halpert.  Topics will include using LinkedIn to:  show your expertise in the best light to complement your resume; research companies and their hiring managers; apply for jobs listed on LinkedIn; and how to leverage groups, recommendations and the free applications to get hired.  Bring your questions.  This program will take place Thursday, March 29 at 7 pm at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

This talk is part of the Library’s award-winning weekly speaker series, Jobs 2012, now in its third year. The talks are supplemented by the Library’s Friday morning networking group, a LinkedIn networking group, one-on-one career counseling sessions, Job Search Boot Camp, podcast recordings of over 100 past presentations online (www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org), and an updated collection of job-hunting books.
