Mystery Writer, Cara Black to Visit Fairfield Public Library

The Fairfield Public Library will be hosting author, Cara Black and her newly released book, Murder at the Lanterne Rouge, on Tuesday, April 17.  Ms. Black will discuss her book in the Memorial Room of the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road at 2:00 p.m.

Murder at the Lanterne Rouge is the twelfth book in the award-nominated Aimée Leduc investigations which are set in the different arrondissements of Paris.  This is the most exciting book yet:  Templars, secret medieval guilds, Chinatown sweatshops, and botched affairs of the heart.  Of her series the NY Times says “if the cobblestones could talk they might tell a tale as haunting as the ones Black spins.”

Black is a San Francisco Library Laureate, member of the Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime and the Marais Historic Society in Paris.  Her books have been translated into six languages.  She lives in San Francisco with her husband, a bookseller, and son.
