Notre Dame University Champion of the Liberal Arts to Lead Public Symposium at Sacred Heart University

Dr. Mark Roche is the author of Why Choose the Liberal Arts? as well as The Intellectual Appeal of Catholicism and the Idea of a Catholic University. He will discuss “The Value of the Liberal Arts and the Catholic Intellectual Tradition” at a public forum in SHU’s University Commons at 5151 Park Avenue, Fairfield, CT. Dr. Roche is a professor of Germanic language and literature and of philosophy at the University of Notre Dame. The author of six books, he studied at Williams and in Tubingen, Germany, and earned his doctorate at Princeton.
