Overcoming Hurdles to a Successful Marketing Plan

Small business consultant Bernie Pasierb will talk about how to get started on a successful marketing plan by taking basic but critical steps.  This includes segmenting your target market, learning why differentiation matters, and how to do it, and the role of SWOT analysis.  Pasierb will also talk about keeping your plan simple, adaptive and actionable in a digital world.  This program will be held Thursday, November 3 at 7 pm in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

Bernie Pasierb is a business advisor for the Small Business Development Council and an adjunct professor in business management at Housatonic Community College.  Bernie has nearly 30 years of hands-on experience building and managing the start-up of mid-sized companies in consumer financial services, direct marketing and internet-based technology.  He has worked as a small business consultant for Price Waterhouse & Co.

This talk is part of the Small Business Strategies series for current and prospective entrepreneurs.  The series is designed to generate a discussion with local businesses and concentrate on their specific needs.  Podcast recordings of past Small Business Strategies presentations are available online at www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org.
