Patents and Trademarks Talk at the Fairfield Public Library

Did you have that light bulb moment?  Have you created a product or image that should be patented or trademarked?  Do you want to know how to start that process?  Robert Berry, Patent and Trademark Resource Center Librarian at Sacred Heart University, will talk about key concepts in patent law and give an overview of patent and trademark searching.  This presentation will take place Monday, November 14, 7pm at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

Robert Berry is a research librarian for the Ryan Matura Library at Sacred Heart University.  Prior to his library work he was Assistant Corporate Counsel to the New York City Law Department’s Special Litigation Unit.  Berry has an MA in political science from the New School for Social Research and a law degree from Brooklyn Law School.

This presentation is part of the Library’s Small Business Strategies series for current and prospective entrepreneurs.  The series is designed to generate a discussion with local businesses and concentrate on their specific needs.  Podcast recordings of past presentations are available online at www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org.
