SACRED HEART UNIVERSITY INAUGURATES ANNUAL PUBLIC LECTURE ON ‘RELIGION AND…’ - INTERNATIONAL PERSPECTIVES TO BE FEATURED ON FEBRUARY 9TH
WHAT: “The Cain and Abel of Western Civilization: Religion and Politics from an International Perspective” will be presented in a free public panel discussion at Sacred Heart University.
WHO: The inaugural lecture in an annual series called “Religion and…” will feature David Gibson, a longtime religion writer who now covers the beat for PoliticsDaily.com, and is the author of a highly regarded biography of Pope Benedict XVI; Robert Mickens, the Vatican correspondent for the international Catholic weekly, The Tablet;and Peter G. Kavanagh, a journalist for 30 years and a senior producer at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. The facilitator will be Dr. Michael W. Higgins, vice president for Mission and Catholic Identity.
