Small Business Innovation Research Grant Workshop

Learn how hi-tech small businesses may qualify to win a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) award.  The Connecticut SBIR office helps hi-tech small businesses compete for and win federal SBIR grant awards.  They facilitate commercialization by collaborating with industry, government and academia.  If you’ve ever done grant writing, and know how complicated it can be, this is a great opportunity to receive a helping hand.  This program will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2:30-5:00 pm in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

This program is co-sponsored by the Greater Bridgeport and Fairfield County SCORE chapters.  A representative from Connecticut Innovations will lead this workshop.  Connecticut Innovations was founded by the Connecticut legislature in 1989 to help emerging companies research, develop and market new products and services.

This talk is part of the Small Business Strategies series for current and prospective entrepreneurs.  The series is designed to generate a discussion with local businesses and concentrate on their specific needs.  Podcast recordings of past presentations are available online at www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org.
