Great the superintendent should be next. She was forced out.

This is the fifth resignation of an administrator/principal in the last few months. Seems like a very high turnover rate. Why are they all leaving?

Because we finally have a superintendent who is holding his staff accountable for action.

Wrong! 4 elementary Principals are retiring- they have not resigned. Only the FLHS Principal has resigned- big difference.

Thank you for the clarification. My main point was that there are five vacancies at this level and that seems high for one academic year.

Too bad the town won't take advantage of the five vacancies and bring in administrators starting with lower salariers than the outgoing staff. This is an extremely generous town - our fearless negotiators will probably offer the newbies higher salaries and benefits just to show them how wonderful a town we are. Somehow the justification they use is you have to pay high (when it's coming out of the taxpayers' pockets) in order to "attract quality candidates". That's not how it works in the private sector. And it's a major reason why the Board of Ed money is not going for the benefit of the students.

Retiring = Resigning at an older age. Semantics.

Wrong- one has a level of respect and the other does not.

In most cases. Not always.

Your comments insinuate that the 4 Principals retiring are being asked to resign or have chosen to resign. That is an unfair insinuation.
