The Center for Women and Families works with schools, police and
municipal leaders to end domestic violence and bullying. Now two
Fairfield Warde High School students joined the fight.
Fidaleo, a junior, and senior Cozette More formed the leadership group
Raising Abuse Awareness for Teens (RAAFT) at their school and membership
has grown to 15 students.
Fairfield Police Chief Gary MacNamara,
who introduced Fidaleo and More at the Center for Women and Families
Speaking of Women 2013 luncheon at The Waterview in Monroe Thursday,
said RAAFT raises awareness for teens to stop the violence.
students told the audience they plan on doing fundraising for the center
in the future with car washes and badminton tournaments and their group
will do banners against things like bullying and teen dating violence.
