McKinley Elementary School will welcome a new principal come July 1.
Leslie Pearson, currently serving as assistant principal at Miller-Driscoll School in Wilton, will takeover for Dr. Ginger Vail, according to a Superintendent of Schools Dr. David Title.
Vail is resigning at the end of the school year.
Pearson has held the position at Miller-Driscoll School since 2010. Before that, she served as a language arts specialist in Danbury, and as an instruction coach, fourth grade teacher, and kindergarten teacher in Greenwich, Title said in a release.
Pearson also has experience working with investment banking and labor relations.
She earned her bachelor's degree from Cornell University, a master's degree from John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and a master's degree in teaching from Manhattanville College.
"Please join me in welcoming Mrs. Pearson to the McKinley community and wishing her well in her new assignment," Title said.
