Secondary Math Textbooks Available for Public Review This Week

Fairfield's school officials have made the textbooks available for public review prior to the adoption of a new curriculum.

Textbooks under consideration for for Grades 6, 7, 8 math courses, algebra I, and geometry are available for public review at Fairfield Public Schools Central Office, 501 Kings Highway, second floor.

The books are available the following dates and times:

  • March 6 – Instructional Conference Room, 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. 
  • March 7 – Board of Education Board Room, 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. and Instructional Conference Room, 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • March 8 – Instructional Conference Room, 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • March 11 – Board of Education Board Room, 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. and Instructional Conference Room, 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. 
  • March 12 – Board of Education Board Room, 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

  • Pearson Common Core Algebra & Geometry, CME Project Pearson
  • College Preparatory Mathematics (CPM), Holt-McDougall: Larson, Discovering Series -Kendall Hunt

And for the middle school courses: 

  • Big Ideas in Math by Ron Larson
  • Math in Focus, grades 6-8
  • College Preparatory Mathematics (CPM)
  • CMP 3 
  • Glencoe Common Core
