Two Fairfield Warde Students Injured in Bleacher Collapse Improving

Bleacher collapsed last Friday

Two Fairfield Warde High School students, who were injured Friday, when the bleachers they were standing in collapsed, appear to be improving, the schools superintendent told the Fairfield Citizen. 

One student was treated at the scene, while another student was treated for minor injuries, the Citizen reports. 

About 50 Fairfield fans were jumping up and down cheering for their team during a baseball game at Trumbull High School when the bleacher collapsed, the Citizen reports.

Speedy recovery to the injured people. I find it amazing that there was zero coverage of the Warde-Trumbull quarterfinal CIAC baseball game. The first time Warde has advanced this far since 1981. Goes to show you the world loves atrain wreck. BTW, Warde defeated Trumbull 5-1 to advance to the semi-finals.
