Fall Golf Classic

The Near & Far Aid 2011 Golf Classic will be held on Monday, October 17. The day begins with golfer registration starting at 10:00am, and a BBQ lunch served prior to the shotgun start at 12:30. Prizes will be awarded for various accomplishments on the course.

There will be a post-tournament cocktail reception with light supper for the golfers. Prizes will be awarded along with holding a live and silent auction.

Hurricane Irene came in with a fury and changed our course. The Fall Golf Classic will now be held at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, NY. The mere mention of the name immediately conjures up an image of authority, of a certain respect shared by golfers the world over. Since its inception, this fabulous club has been at the center of golf's proudest traditions - in purity of design, individual accomplishment, quality of membership, and milestones of the sport itself. Winged Foot is consistently ranked as one of the top course in the US and World by Golf Magazine's panel of experts.

NEAR & FAR AID provides funding for projects that address the causes and effects of poverty in Fairfield County. Our grants support programs that help families at risk, adults in crisis, homelessness, elderly care and other select categories.
