The Fairfield American Little League New England Champions will be honored with a town-wide celebration for the team and coaches. This year's 10 and 11-year old Boys' American Little League District teams and the Girls softball champions will also be recognized for their victories. Beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday, the teams and town/state officials will parade starting at the Fairfield Library on Old Post Road and ending at the historic green by the Fairfield Museum and History Center. The Town invites all residents and area fans to line the parade route and then join in the celebration.
The First Selectman will give the Fairfield American Little League Champion team the Key to the Town in recognition as the Town's first team to ever participate in the Little League International World Series. First Selectman Flatto will issue certificates of congratulations to all individual team members and their coaches.
