Sacred Heart University and Vision Project Host Sports Photographer Al Bello

Sports photographer Al Bello will speak at Sacred Heart University as part Vision Project’s “Photography in a Digital World" lecture series.  He will present his talk entitled “Sports Photography: Beyond Simply Recording an Event.”

Award-winning sports photographer Al Bello has been taking photographs for over two decades at almost every major sporting event in the world. He has photographed many prestigious sporting events such as the Olympics, the World Series and the Super Bowl. His photos have appeared nationally in many magazines and newspapers including Sports Illustrated, ESPN the Magazine, Newsweek, Time, The New York Times, and The LA Times. He has also won various awards from World Press Photo, National Press Photographers Association, Pictures of the Year International, The New York Press Photographers Association, The Boxing Writers Association, The Football Hall of Fame, The Baseball Hall of Fame and The International Olympic Committee.
