'Will Teach Yoga for Food' on Thanksgiving Day

Mixed level yoga classes will be taught on Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 25, at to benefit the Black Rock Food Pantry.  Food or cash/check donations will be accepted. The suggested donation per student is at least $10 worth of food.

Evelyne Serais will teach a class from 9:15-10:30 a.m. and Lauren Lanham will teach 11 to 12:15 p.m.

"The Black Rock Food Pantry is a nonprofit organization that delivers hundreds of meals each week to those less fortunate … delivering over 77,000 meals last year," according to Yoga for Everybody's release.

Items especially needed this time of year are:  Peanut butter, jelly, condiments, cereal, canned stews and meals, flour and butter.

Janis Bowersox says: "Yoga for Everybody is pleased to be supporting the Black Rock Food Pantry for the second year in a row.  We offer 'yoga for a cause' classes throughout the year, benefiting organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Make a Wish, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Operation Hope, Susan G. Komen Foundation, and others.  This is practicing yoga off the mat."

Food may be dropped at Yoga for Everybody, 27 Unquowa Road, Fairfield (next to the Community Theatre). Registration for Thanksgiving Day classes is not necessary; space is available on a first come/first served basis.
