Fairfield American Little League Faces Monroe Tonight in District II Tournament
Fairfield American (5-0) defeated Westport on Monday night.
The Fairfield American Little League baseball team will play Monroe tonight in a District II winner's bracket game at 7:30 p.m. at Unity Park in Trumbull.
Fairfield American (5-0) defeated Westport 8-3 Monday night to advance to play Monroe (4-1).
P.J. Egan led the way for American by pitching a complete-game four-hitter (allowing only two earned runs) and hitting a home run.
"P.J. pitched his heart out," American head coach Mike Steed told Mary Albl of the New Haven Register and GameTimeCT.com. "And the toughest three outs to get were the last three, and he did a good job doing it."
