Fairfield Prep's Jean-Baptiste Signs With Stonehill
Jean-Baptiste was a three-year starter for the Jesuits
Fairfield Prep senior lineman Serge Jean-Baptiste on Monday signed a National Letter of Intent to play football for Stonehill College.
Jean-Baptiste was a three-year starter for the Jesuits on the offensive and defensive lines. In his sophomore year, he played defensive tackle and was chosen as the team’s most improved player.
As a junior, he continued to play defense and led the team in tackles for loss and sacks. Jean-Baptiste was selected as a co-captain for the 2011 season and moved to offensive guard to help the Jesuits score.

His size -- 6-foot-2 and 275 pounds -- and athletic ability made him an outstanding pulling guard as he helped the Jesuits (5-5) rush for 210 yards per game.
Playing in the highly competitive Southern Connecticut Conference, Jean-Baptiste was named to the coaches’ Class LL All-State first team and also earned all-conference first team honors .

Baptiste has been a member of the S.E.E.D. Diversity Club and volunteered at the Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield. He is a resident of Norwalk.
Stonehill is a member of the Northeast-10 Conference and went 4-7 last season.
