Conor Peterson, Tom Worsfold, Sean Henry all scored in the second period for the Jesuits. Riley Wikman preserved the shutout with 17 saves in his first varsity start.

Nate Gliedman kept Ridgefield in it with 35 saves, as the Jesuits had a 38-17 edge in shots, including 13-2 in the first period, which ended scoreless.

Terry Tarpey recorded 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists as the Fairfield Prep boys basketball team opened its season with a 78-62 victory over Cheshire.

Mark Cerulli and Tyler Bulkeley each scored 14 points as the Fairfield Ludlowe boys basketball team opened its season with a 59-52 victory at Wilton.
David Kinsley chipped in with 12 for the Falcons, who took control early in the second half, using a 7-0 run to build a 35-28 lead. Connor Peterson added 10
Wilton's Chris Nugent paced all scorers with 19 points.
Cerulli scored 12 of his points in the second hald, including nine in the final period.
Ludlowe is coming off a 9-11 season while Wilton was just 2-18 a year ago.

Michael Wright had 14 points and 15 rebounds as the Fairfield Warde boys basketball team posted a season-opening 55-43 win over Trumbull.
Sal Siciliano grabbed 12 rebounds and added seven points for the Mustangs, who built a 32-21 halftime lead. Matthew McTague contributed nine points for Warde.
Travis Fonseca was the only player in double figures for Trumbull with 10 points.

Brianna Curran scored 16 points as the Fairfield Ludlowe girls basketball team held on to defeat Wilton 50-49 for its first win of the season.
Sara Nesi added seven points and 10 rebounds for the Falcoms, who improved to 1-2.
Ludlowe took a 40-26 lead into the fourth quarter, when the Warriors outscored Ludlowe 23-10.
Wilton's Casey Pearsall led all scorers with 21 points. Alysa Malvarosa added nine for the Warriors, who dropped to 2-1.

The Trumbull girls basketball team continued its fercious defense, routing Fairfield Warde 45-24 on Wednesday.
Victoria Pfohl added 13 points and Erin Moore added nine for the Eagles, who improved to 3-0 and won their 26th consecutive FCIAC game. Trumbull built a 20-7 halftime lead.
Jamera Fountain scored eight points to lead Warde, which dropped to 0-
