The Lancers will get a chance to avenge that defeat when the rivals meet again on Tuesday at Sacred Heart University. Tipoff is at 7 p.m.

The Cougars, coached by former Connecticut star Chris Smith, have gotten off to a 7-0 start and are coming off Friday's 59-45 victory over Bethel.

Notre Dame has been dealing with some adversity as senior starter Tre McPherson and freshman Marcus Blackwell were booted off the team last week for separate issues.
