Max Rothston made 23 saves Thursday as the Darien boys hockey team blanked 3-0 at the Milford Ice Pavilion.
Brendan Hathaway, Tommy Watters, Jack Knowlton scored for the Blue Wave, who improved to 2-3.

Hathaway opened the scoring midway through the first period before Watters and Knowlton found the back in the net in the middle period to extend Darien's lead.
Scott Kline made 25 saves for Notre Dame of Fairfield, which dropped to 2-4. The Lancers have surrendered 21 goals in their first six games.

The teams will complete their home-and-home series on Saturday at the Darien Ice Rink (8:30 p.m.).

The Fairfield Warde gymnastics team defeated Greenwich 123.5-120.4 at the Greenwich YMCA.
Tori Gallant won the vault and Kathleen Pisciotta finished first on the bars to lead the Mustangs.
Freshman Katherine McCaffrey won the beam and floor exercise for the Cardinals
