Fairfield Wildcats edge Darien 6-0 in season opener
The Fairfield Wildcats 8th grade team opened the season on Sunday, notching a tight 6-0 win against Darien Blue. The beautiful late summer weather belied the tension on the field, as both teams’ mighty defenses kept the game scoreless through three quarters.
