The success of the 10-year-old girls All-Stars is part of remarkable summer for Fairfield Little League teams, as the 10-year-old Fairfield American boys All-Stars also have reached the regional level in Rhode Island.

It is believed that these are the first two Little League squads from Fairfield to ever advance beyond the state level, and two additional teams from the town will have a chance to it as well --the Fairfield American 11- and 12-year-old boys All-Stars.
