"It's awesome to watch them playing on TV, and they are a really great team," said MJ Duffy, who watched from the front row with siblings Billy, Nathaniel, Molly and Danny.

The four brothers attend Fairfield Country Day School and all play baseball. Molly attends Greens Farms Academy in Westport and may play softball some day soon.

"It feels good to watch them on TV, and I think they have a great shot to win," Danny Duffy added.

Mother Sheila Duffy, also on hand, figured a trip to the library in Southport would be more enjoyable that staying home and watching the live broadcast.

"All four boys play Fairfield American, so I thought it would be fun for them to watch it with friends and Fairfield residents," she said. "It's a good event to experience and to share with the entire Fairfield community."

While the audience was primarily comprised of Fairfield residents and media members, a few out-of-town viewers were introduced to the passion and enthusiasm that has surrounded the Fairfield club all summer long.

Jeffrey Elletson, a Cape Cod resident who is visiting family members in Fairfield to celebrate a birthday this weekend, took in the game with his son Holden.

Their group included Jeff's brother, Mark, and Mark's  son, Parker (the soon-to-be birthday boy) sat with their family members from Cape Cod. Holden plays for the Cape Cod 10-year-old All-Stars in Massachusetts.

"It's really cool to be able to watch them on TV with my cousin (Parker), my dad (Jeff) and my uncle (Mark)," Holden said. "They seem like a team that has a lot of fun together every time they play, and its exciting to think about maybe playing on TV in the future like them."

The Pequot Library will continue to show the games for as long as Fairfield American plays in the LLWS. The next game is Sunday at 8 p.m.
