Lancers defeat Fermi 4-1 to improve to 6-8
The Notre Dame of Fairfield boys hockey team won its third straight game Saturday, defeating Fermi/Enfield 4-1 at the Enfield Twin Rinks to improve to 6-8.
Christian La Croix and Brandon Walsh each scored two goals for the Lancers, now 3-1 under interim head coach Steve Hetherman, who was promoted when Marty Roos stepped down on Jan. 17.
Notre Dame is within just two wins of returning to the Division I state tournament after missing out on postseason play last season.

Scott Kline made 13 saves for Notre Dame, blanking Fermi/Enfield until giving up a third-period goal to Cameron Corona.
