Don't Wait Til the Last Minute to Study For Midterms -- Study Workshop This Saturday

Advanced and Structured Preparation Found to Decrease Stress and Increase Test Results & Decrease Anxiety

Ludlowe and Warde High School students will soon be facing the dreaded stress of studying for midterms, causing fear and angst for many because they lack an organized and methodical approach to tackle studying for these important tests.

According to the US Department of Education, test anxiety can significantly lower test scores. The level of student stress directly correlates to the ability to function and perform well on such exams. Research has found that the single-best approach to reducing stress and increasing scores is advanced and structured preparation.

With these important tests looming, S4 - Successful Study Skills 4 Students, is happy to announce a 1-session 3-hour Midterm & Test Prep Workshop, specifically scheduled with enough time to implement the tools and preparation time students need to study and get ready for midterms. The one session 3-hour workshop is being offered at the Fairfield Public Library this Saturday, December 15, from 1:30 pm - 4: 30 pm.

The Test Prep Workshop is designed to increase confidence and reduce stress, by providing a clear road-map and structured approach in the preparation of tests.

The manner in which students prepare for midterms - or any test - directly impacts test performance and how well they will do. Accordingly this program:

* Focuses on the specific and essential skills needed for test taking
* Provides a specific structure for prepping, managing time, and studying
* New and original templates for organizing, managing, preparing for tests & midterms

In easy-to-implement steps, students will leave the workshop knowing:

* The 6 must-ask questions to ask teachers now to determine what will be on midterms & how to prepare
* How to make study guides - even before teachers pass them out
* How to manage time so there will be no need to cram - the absolute worse way to study
* How to plan and calendarize specifically when studying for midterms
* What to do to eliminate stress & anxiety

The Test Prep workshop, as all of the S4 programs, is highly interactive, collaborative and dynamic in presentation, creating an engaging, compelling and comfortable learning environment. Limited class size of 15 ensures that all students get personalized attention.

Unique to the S4 program are the take-home materials that complement and outline the workshop materials, and that are designed for ongoing student and parental support.

The 3-hour 1-session workshop will be held at the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road, Fairfield, Saturday, December 15 from 1:30 pm - 4: 30
pm. pm. To see the fee and register, go to http://www.s4studyskills.com/Midterm_Test_Workshops.html.
