By now, you may have received your student's first report card. Whether it's good news or bad, this document is a great resource to help get a jump start on midterms. Here's why:
1. It’s an academic GPS.
It provides the big picture: where you stand in each class, what needs work and what good habits should be kept up.
2. You know what to celebrate & repeat.
If you have a good result, you did something right and it worked. Like the shampoo bottle instructions, lather, rinse and repeat for best results!
3. It’s a wake-up call.
If the results aren't so great, then study habits need to change. This is a good opportunity to take some proactive action to examine study habits should be shed, and others adapted.
4. The teacher comments will give you important insight.
Teachers make comments for a reason, and paying attention to them can make a huge difference.
5. Helps guide an action plan.
This is a necessity! If you don’t know how to go about this analysis, maybe outside support can help guide you.
