Westport's Longshore Golf Course Closes for Season

Golfers played their last game of the season Monday at Longshore Golf Course, which will reopen in the spring.

While the Longshore Golf Course was blanketed in a coat of snow following a November nor'easter, golfers continued to play weeks after the storm.

Parks and Recreation Director Stuart McCarthy announced that the Longshore Golf Course closed for the season at the end of play Monday afternoon.

“On behalf of the Town of Westport, Golf Professional John Cooper, Superintendent Dan Rackliffe and the entire staff at Longshore, we extend our appreciation to our loyal customers and wish all of you a Happy and Healthy New Year,” said McCarthy. “We look forward to seeing you in the spring.”
