Shannon Miller's Story: From Olympian to Cancer Survivor
Miller, America's most decorated female gymnast, is coming to Fairfield as part of the CT Challenge speakers series.
For Shannon Miller, the parallels between her battle with ovarian cancer and her journey to be the best gymnast in the world are undeniable.
There were times when both sent her to her knees — literally. But Miller, America's most decorated female gymast, always got back up. "No matter what," she says, "you keep going."
The seven-time Olympic medalist and nine-time World Champion will share her inspirational story in Connecticut this week, as part of the CT Challenge Speaker Series.
Event Details
- When: March 20, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Where: Roger Ludlowe Middle School, 689 Unquowa Road, Fairfield, Conn.
- Tickets: Advance tickets are $8 for adults; $5 for students under 18. All tickets are $10 at the door. Buy them online here.
