Five Things, June 19: Selectmen to Discuss Penfield Pavilion

Check out 'Five Things to Know' each weekday morning to help plan your day.

Here are five things to know about Fairfield for Wednesday, June 19:

1. The weather. Expect mostly sunny skies with temperatures reaching a high near 75.

2. Board of Selectmen. The selectmen will meet at 4:30 p.m. in Sullivan Independence Hall. They will discuss, among other things, a master bicycle and pedestrian plan for the town and fixing Penfield Pavilion. Click here for an agenda.

3. Movie at the Bijou. Hop over the town line into Bridgeport for a screening of "Wall Flowers" at the Bijou Theatre. The movie is about a young mother (Christina Ricci) whose husband has left her and their daughter to fight in the Civil War. The screening starts at 8:30 p.m.

4. Fairfield Library Book Sale. Have you picked up a beach read book yet? The library's book sale continues Wednesday.
