Do you have a sweet tooth? If so, this is one Fairfield event you won't want to miss.

The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce will host its February fundraiser, Fairfield’s 375th Anniversary Bake-Off on Feb. 6.

In celebration of the town’s 375th Anniversary, the Chamber will host a Bake-Off including six local bakeries, Billy’s Bakery, Pink Cup Cake Shack, Simply Sweet Patisserie, Sweet Cakes, Sweet & Simple, and The Pantry.  Each baker will create and design a cake that they feel best represents the Fairfield’s 375th Anniversary Celebration.  All attendees will have the opportunity to vote once for their favorite cake based on design and taste.

“We are so happy to have an event that both promotes and supports local business, but also celebrates the town’s 375th Anniversary,” said Beverly A. Balaz, Executive Director of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce. “And the baker who wins will have the honor of creating the grand commemorative cake for the town’s 375th Gala event on Nov. 15, 2014.”

“This is a wonderful event to come out and support the local bakers and be a part of an event that not only helps celebrate the town’s 375th Anniversary, but also supports the dynamic business community within Fairfield,” said First Selectman Mike Tetreau.

The evening will also include food tastings from Wholefoods, 55 Wine Bar and Restaurant, T&C Steakhouse, Rio Bravo and other restaurants.  Attendees will enjoy wine, music, raffle items, a silent auction and more.
