<p>St. Anthony of Padua Church is one of seven Catholic churches in Fairfield overseen by the Bridgeport Roman Catholic Diocese.</p>
<p>St. Anthony of Padua Church, housed in a residential-style structure built in 1928, is home to parishioners from Fairfield and Westport.</p> <p>Classes in religious education are held on Sundays from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. for children in pre-kindergarten through third grade and from 11 a.m. to noon for children in grade 4 through confirmation.</p> <p>Church groups include Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, adult discussion, church choir, prayer shawl ministry, pastoral council, music ministry and St. Anthony Seniors.</p> <p>Mass is held at 7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday; 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday; and 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Confession is from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, or by appointment.</p> <p>The pastor at St. Anthony of Padua Church is the Rev. John P. Baran.</p>
