Osborn Hill teacher Kristin Golia is in the running to be crowned the Top Teacher of 2012 on Live! with Kelly.
If you can get to a TV Friday morning, flip on Live with Kelly! at 9 a.m. -- you may see a familiar face. Kristin Golia, a third-grade teacher at Osborn Hill School, made it to the top five finalists for Live’s third annual Top Teacher Search and will appear both live on Friday’s episode and in a pre-taped segment filmed at the school. Following Golia’s appearance -- she’s the last of the five finalists to be featured -- friends, family, and viewers have until Monday to vote for the “Top Teacher” of 2012. Voting will take place on Live’s Top Teacher Search website. The accident occurred at the intersection of Tunxis Hill Road and Villa Avenue, according to the report. A fire truck happened to be stopped at a red light near the intersection when the accident occurred and the driver reported it to police. Fairfield police are investigating the incident.

It does not indicate convictions.] A Weston woman was charged with fifth-degree larceny after she allegedly used her cousin’s ATM card to withdraw $979 when she only had permission to withdraw $300, police said. According to the report, Rachel Johnson, 36, of Steep Hill Road in Weston, fraudulently withdrew from her cousin’s account to the point of a negative balance in August after her cousin offered to let her withdraw $300 from the account, police said. The cousin, a Fairfield resident, reported the theft to police. When police interview Johnson, they discovered she lives with her elderly mother who said Johnson may have taken money from her but did not …
Police arrested two university students for hosting 'unreasonably loud' parties on Fairfield Beach Road.

It does not indicate convictions.] Two local university students were arrested recently for allegedly hosting large and unreasonably loud parties of Fairfield Beach Road. Patrick McCahill, 22, of New Jersey was charged with disorderly conduct after police were called to his Fairfield Beach Road student residence late Sunday for a party generating “unreasonable noise,” police said. When responding officers arrived, guests began to disperse yelling “The cops are here!” There were more than 60 guests inside the house, according to the report. Police were called to Fairfield Beach Road early on Wednesday for another “large and unreasonably loud” party, this time…
