I posted this on the Wallingford Patch about Drop Boxes for drugs. "I am watching local TV withRead More the Wallingford Town Council and the Mayor debating putting in a Drop Box. I did not know what a Drop Box is and I am finding out it is a place to leave medicine that is not used. Mayor Dickinson has excuses for everything. In the case of the Drop Boxes he either says he does not know, he talks to the police, anyone can put something in a Drop Box that might be dangerous, how much it would cost and more. The people that had questions said there is grant money for the boxes. The people question the council but one woman brought up the Mayor is the only one that answers the questions. I find the Mayor is like a bully. I do not see many issues on the Wallingford Patch about the way the town addresses issues. To me the issue is not Drop Boxes, it is how the Mayor takes over and answers all the questions. I have seen him at times being very rude to people and the council members say nothing. I cannot believe one man, Mayor Dickinson can be in office so long and not listen to people of Wallingford and still keep getting elected, something is not right."

A little confusing for everyone. Even the witness was confused. The CT. Post report it as "ARead More store employee told the manager that she watched a suspect she described as a blonde-haired woman put 22 cans of Red Bull into a hand basket and then ". Need a scorecard.
Joe Mancini April 23, 2014 at 09:54 am
What's the big deal about Red Bull?

Actually, it should be noted that several of the firefighters in the video exhibited nearRead More picture-perfect lifting techniques and none were injured, according to Deputy Chief Chris Tracy — not surprising given that they are also program leaders in the department's fitness initiative.

JBrad By suicide I am saying I am against it but I don't want anyone being involved in helpingRead More killing someone else. The government is using Women's health for businesses to pay for abortion. This is a political issue. The government is not helping people with mental issues but they allow them to smoke pot and now Eric Holder wants to let drug addicts out of jail. CT is making a big deal about domestic violence but read the article about how it is not being funded enough here http://ctwatchdog.com/health/103-times-womens-pleas-for-help-went-unmet I cannot stop someone from doing what they want to do. Just like I cannot stop anyone from doing anything God is in charge and he gives us free will. I do feel sorry for this man. He had no support to stop him from doing what he did. The government supports only what it wants and it is helping decay human beings.

@bill; the solution to not losing your belongings is to invest in a long-term care policy. I startedRead More paying into it back in 1998 and my dad is currently using his now. As long as you meet one of 5 criteria that is needed, they pay for everything except cable until your policy is exhausted. that can give your family time to sell off your assets so you have that money to live on until you die. also, it's a good idea to consult with a geriatric lawyer and follow his advice.

Living on Earth theses days is a form of Spiritual Suicide- He didnt kill himself, he set himselfRead More free from the Morons that are beset opon us during the Apocalyptic New Millenium. He could be a Trend setter yes, thats true, but is life what it used to be? No its not. Be ready its Jacobs Ladder Boys and Girls-Be quick or be Deado-just like the Movie said. Zombies to the left, Vampires to the right, stuck in the middle may be ok as long as we keep laughing at the absurdity of Modern existance. Big respect brother, a Brave warrior never dies!

For anyone wondering it was cyanide. I have family member who lives down the street. So sad to hearRead More this. Adds to my belief that we need to do more for the older adults in our neighborhoods especially those living alone...
Jim Eastwood April 15, 2014 at 01:20 pm

Last year I attended a shred day in Westport: no fee, no limit on number of boxes or bags. Come onRead More Fairfield, can't we do better than this?
Fairfield Resident April 12, 2014 at 06:20 pm
Hopefully the people who are running this event will remember to go around town and pickup all ofRead More the signs they have staked in the ground advertising this event now that it is over. Wishful Thinking.

Any info on the caller?
chuck April 4, 2014 at 09:12 pm
It was John Rowland trying to draw some heat away from himself.
OpportunistWatch April 15, 2014 at 11:36 am
Sue if there was any information on the caller the media would have drawn the conclusion for us andRead More stated the caller had PTSD or mental problems if he/she had an American surname. Ft Hood shootings are perfect examples of how the media creates pictures for our thoughts on who is called a terrorist and who has PTSD even though THEY DID NOT SEE ONE MINUTE OF COMBAT.

yes, its a rowing shell, the fellow that saved him doesn't work for the Town, and I can't think of aRead More better use for tax dollars- saving peoples lives. and its the Pequot Yacht Club.
Kevin April 4, 2014 at 03:09 pm
How stupid can you be. A person would be lucky to live 10 minutes in that water.Foolish peopleRead More shouldn't risk other peoples lives, paige. You live on the beach. You should know this.
Jason Silver April 4, 2014 at 07:22 pm
True that a civilian pulled him from the water. True also that firefighters (and perhaps police)Read More were called to the scene.

The video says it all. How can that be disputed? It was obviously her driving her car at such anRead More insane rate of speed that the vehicle went airborne. When an event is captured on video tape, it's quite difficult to prove other than what is on it. She most likely will get some state appointed(legal aid) attorney who will try to convince the jury to feel sorry for her because she has a drug problem, has five kids to support, etc. In any case, thank God no one was killed .She also came close to blowing up half the town.
Jim Eastwood April 4, 2014 at 05:14 am
To all She is going to get away with it !!!!! ICE wil deport her for a couple of years and sheRead More will be back UNLESS the Bleeding Heart Liberals feel sorry for her and make it an issue. I Understand Due Process of law However !!!! For the Good of the few the Majority will suffer. Again I Will say if this was a Working Class Male he would be in Jail. Just who is going to pay for the Damage and Suffering here--HER????? I Don't think So !!!
DM April 4, 2014 at 12:56 pm
With the video its easy to measure the space and time it took from point A to point b to establishRead More speed. That said its really moot. she blew thru a stop sign, was drunk, damaged property, and hurt people. figuring out the exact speed is just mental m*st*rb^t*$n!

that's it $5,000?? she should have been given a bond that allows her to stay where she belongs untilRead More court, not let her out to sober up and do it all over again this time maybe kill someone, she should be sitting in a cell with a bond she can not reach, let her think about hat she did and that very lucky 18 month old, thank God no one was killed, in my opinion I think it is going to take time for her to learn a lesson, before putting a bond on someone like her and how serious this was rethink the numbers and keep her behind bars so we are safe
Joeseph Biff April 3, 2014 at 06:44 am
nascarblue, Good points, but why should we have to pay for her jail time? Don't forget,we have toRead More feed and clothe this pig. She won't get a long sentence anyway because some state appointed lawyer will get her (it) a slap on the wrist anyway. Sterilize it so it can't reproduce and send the lump packing.

Video is amazing. We need the Fairfield Police Dept. to do more investigation on this? What a wasteRead More of time and money .Her (it's) car was literally flying through the air. Take the money we will waste on the investigation and buy it a one way ticket back to where it came.........for ever. This lard ass is a threat to our safety since it will be back on the road again before you know it.
