KKK breaks into a few homes and then comes to the rescue. An age old strategy.
Sean April 24, 2014 at 05:01 pm
How do you really know they are up? They could be sleeping underneath those capes. I would thinkRead More you would wear something more scary like a Michael Myers of Leatherface mask, thought would work better I would think.

Democrats started the KKK also, democrats also were the only opponents of the civil rightsRead More legislation !

Michael Hipp April 24, 2014 at 02:54 pm
I don't disagree with you that we're becoming less and less a free country but it's wrong to blameRead More democrats alone. It wasn't dems alone that passed the patriot act. It hasn't been dems alone that have been re-uping it since it was passed the first time. On how bad Hillary will be as a president. Every president is bad in some ways. Reagan raised taxes more than a dozen times. Bush took us to war on two fronts with no way to pay for it. Clinton signed DOMA and DADT. Obama gave away the farm in order to get the Affordable Care Act passed. Papa Bush said that atheists shouldn't be considered Americans. Sure Hillary will be a bad president in some ways.... they are all bad in some way. I can tell you this much though, any president is going to be a worse president when the publicly stated goal of the opposition is to obstruct that president at any and all opportunities. The dems did it to Bush. The republican'ts are doing it to Obama. It's like Palestine and Israel, they'll fight to the death out of spite and habit, neither one of them knowing which one threw the first punch and not caring because winning is the only goal. What America needs are citizens that go into government for the good of the country instead of the good of their party.
Michael Hipp April 24, 2014 at 03:03 pm
Oh, one last point on your last post B. Dub. "Hillary presidency combined with a DemocraticRead More Congress." Ain't gonna happen. Republicant's have gerrymandered the states to absolute death. They have the House for the foreseeable future and they have a good chance at getting the Senate. I can't guarantee you who's going to win in 2016 but I can very well guarantee you that no one party will take executive and legislative branches, both.
Kevin April 24, 2014 at 02:57 pm
As big of a liar and deceiver that she is,can she possibly be worse than the unqualified fool thatRead More we have in there now? My goodness, the idea that a person like her even has a chance to become president of this country shows me how far we have fallen as a nation.Yes,I hear the libs saying "what about Bush"? Well,he never perjured himself, obstructed justice, and flat out lied to the country. He had many faults, and the Iraq war was one,but he didn't despise half the people in this country like she does. Yuck!!!

with caller ID they should be able to point to the caller. Sorry but an out of state telephoneRead More number should be a tip off.
Eddie April 24, 2014 at 08:52 am
The caller used Skype, via the Internet, and will probably never be found if he took certainRead More precautions unless he's running his mouth about this prank.
Bob West April 24, 2014 at 06:20 pm
@ eddie, I wouldn't mention any specific phone-calling service in case any other arseholes areRead More looking for tips. But for better or worse, those calls are traceable. They have "add-ons" that can fool your friends, but certainly not the NSA. BTW, that phone service was bought by Microsoft a couple of years ago- so much for any illusion of confidentiality. By using it, you "opt in" to give up your privacy, just like with G-mail. Using a computer to make a prank call is a dumb move in itself. Any computer transmits a wealth of information. Non-smart phones are a lot less traceable than anything else. Have you ever seen how many items advertisers and other web sites use to uniquely identify your computer? They can't tell your name but track your unique computer. It's called "computer fingerprinting." As soon as you give your name at a web site they track, they've got you. Check this site sometime to see how unique your computer is-- https://panopticlick.eff.org/ .... I suspect that nobody's putting much effort into tracing this call, because in the big scheme of things, they've got more serious things to deal with. (Unfortunately, unlike our local PDs.) Shame this idiot got so much publicity from his crime. I think the glorifying news "perp walk" should be stopped in virtually all cases.
The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld Michigan's ban on affirmative action in college admissions.
Jimmy Vierwepps April 24, 2014 at 06:29 pm
The Supreme Court is Silly, The Cheif Justice Robert Court is Silly, What do I mean a law is beingRead More pushed in Russia that if your curse in public it is a crime, if you are an elected official it is double. To believe after 50 years we as a country is just going to have people in the power of education, jobs, housing, health, can harm another American because he or she is bias, and that can be the difference of living on the street or competiting for the real thing. Second the Robert court say that if you are arrested and you say no one in my house without a search warrent and a second person is their who does not live there and is there when you get arrested they can say yes and that can be used against you. I believe the 4th amendment. not for sure. This is Silly. The harm is long term. How do you fix the decision at the Schools State School All students who are from the state comes first and out of state students come second Study abroad students come first if there are more students from the state they get all the slots. That will fix it.
Jimmy Vierwepps April 24, 2014 at 06:32 pm
I meant out of state students come third. Then everybody from that state gets a chance. The money isRead More in the Out of state student and the Students who want to study from another country. Why are we denying our State born students a slot at the school. The Out of State Student and the Study abroad student have no standing if a qualified student with a GPA of 2.0 then that student has a right to go to that school. Thats is the solution
Jimmy Vierwepps April 24, 2014 at 06:33 pm
And the law
Everyday Mathematics is just one of the programs that makes a heck of a lot of $ off of the millions of textbooks sold to schools that teach to the 'Core.' The Common Core isn't just restricting for teachers & students, it's lining people's pockets.
CowDung April 24, 2014 at 12:20 pm
Gary's post is full of falsehoods.
CowDung April 24, 2014 at 12:22 pm
"Agreements or addenda" are not part of the Common Core. Again, if states are doing theirRead More own thing by adding stuff or agreeing to do something different, it isn't Common Core.
Millsey April 24, 2014 at 02:46 pm
If it's on the internet it must be true? A small group of parents make up some "facts" andRead More post it on random news sites. So it must be true? I'm in favor of trusting the actual sources of the program over a blog that someone created because they are afraid of their kids getting a better education.

Netflix is hands down the best deal going, and it has been a bargain for YEARS. I guess theRead More nonsensical whiners who complain about a long-delayed, $2 a MONTH increase are worried it will cost them a (partial) SINGLE LATTE. Utterly ridiculous.

FOR THOSE WHO LIKE AMAZON PRIME OVER NETFLIX: Here's an interesting article from today (23 Apr 2014)Read More about how Amazon Prime just got HBO to stream at least some of its older content, plus "HBO GO," to Amazon's new Fire TV box, thereby making NetFlix upset because NetFlix (nor any other streaming service, including HULU) has never been able to get any HBO content; and so Amazon has scored a real coup! It is probly the parents that want to drop the charges, not the boy. They shouldn't. I don'tRead More know why they would want to drop the charges.

Those boys need to be punished, if they are doing things like that, no telling what they will beRead More like when they are older.

This case is no longer up to this boy, Autistic or not. The state will be the one to prosecute thisRead More case, and will go to trial. Should plastic bags be a thing of the past?
Judy Westwood April 24, 2014 at 12:21 pm
yes the train left the track. It was a simple question whose answer to, you and I will have to agreeRead More to disagree. As far as comparing one problem to another, that is like telling someone "you shouldn't smoke, it's not healthy" and getting a response of "but you drink". We need to consider each problem rather than ignore it because there are bigger problems. Everything matters, everything counts. I am done with this now. Back to work.
Thomas Paine April 24, 2014 at 01:14 pm
