The Greenfield Hill Village Improvement Society is a neighborhood group established in 1896 to preserve and protect…More the rural character of the town's Greenfield Hill neighborhood.
The GHVIS sponsors an annual Pumpkin Festival and Christmas Tree Lighting and is involved in saving Greenfield Hill Grange #133 at 1873 Hillside Road; restoring the Bronson Windmill; expanding the number of dogwood trees in Greenfield Hill; advocating for the removal of illegal signs in Greenfield Hill; promoting the designation of scenic roads in Greenfield Hill; and organizing and conducting classes, seminars and lectures in environmental protection, zoning and planning regulations, and architectural and historical issues.
The GHVIS holds its annual meetings in Greenfield Hill Grange #133 at 1873 Hillside Road, a vacant structure that the neighborhood association wants to preserve.
