The Jennings Beach Skate Park was completed in December 2009 and is one of only two state-of-the-art skate parks in…More Fairfield County. The other such park is in Stamford.</p> <p>The park, which enables skateboarders and in-line skaters to travel from jumps to ramps in a continuous motion, was designed with input from Fairfield's teen skateboarders.</p> <p>The park is open, weather permitting, from sunrise to sunset at no charge. Parking rates, which apply from May 29 to Sept. 6, are $15 per day, Monday through Friday, and $25 a day on Saturday and Sunday. Parking is free with a town of Fairfield beach sticker.</p> <p>Bikes are not allowed in the skate park, and helmets, elbow pads and knee pads must be worn at all times. Shirts must be worn at all times and spectators are not allowed inside the skate park.</p> <p>The Parks and Recreation Department states that people who use the park assume all risks and responsibilities that are inherent to extreme sports activities and that children younger than 10 years of age should not use skateboards without close adult supervision.</p>
