Daphne Dixon, Neighbor

Daphne is an eco-entrepreneur/environmentalist who has been working closely with local leaders, businesses and residents to raise awareness and to engage people in green living practices. In 2007, Daphne founded Conscious Decisions, to educate people on sustainable and eco-friendly living practices. She founded the annual Fairfield County Green Faire, the Fairfield County Green Coast Awards, and co-founded the Green Market Exposition in Bridgeport, and is co-founder of Live Green CT! in Norwalk. Daphne is also the membership co-chair of the Southern Connecticut Green Building Council, a committee member for Sustainable Stamford and Fairfield’s Earth Day Celebration. She is the host of Fairfield Green Drinks and co-host of Stamford Green Drinks. Daphne also serves on Fairfield CERT and is the treasurer for the Eunice Dennie Burr Chapter of the Daughter's of the American Revolution. Most recently, Daphne has become director of GreenTowns, a new platform that celebrates green initiatives and connects people locally and nationally around sustainability topics that they catre about. a Daphne is a native Californian and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
