Relay For Life is an overnight walk-a-thon to benefit the American Cancer Society.
This event unites Fairfield, Easton, and Bridgeport CT in the fight against cancer.
In the months leading up to the event, teams raise money and at Relay they set up campsites and take turns walking the track overnight and enjoying entertainment, activities and ceremonies throughout the night.
More than 2,100 registered participants on more than 200 teams helped to raise $327,000 at last year's relay, the third largest amount raised in more than 250 relays in the society's New England division and the most in Connecticut.
