The James Hunter Six

Born in working class England, James Hunter developed an early affinity for the rock n’ roll of the fifties and sixties. He was discovered by Van Morrison in Wales and toured with him as a backup singer. In 2003 Hunter went his own way, busking around the UK until his act was discovered on the street corner by GO Records. His first album with the group, People Gonna Talk, led to rave reviews and Grammy nominations. His second release, The Hard Way, fared even better, being praised in Rolling Stone as “unbelievably awesome (sic),” and reaching #1 on the Billboard Blues Chart.

In Van Morrison’s words; Hunter is “one of the best voices and best kept secrets in British R&B.” We would have to agree, and are very excited to have him here in support of his latest record, Minute By Minute.
