Athletic Brewing Company Becomes the Title Sponsor of the Fairfield Road Races
 
Fairfield, CT: Athletic Brewing Company, America’s largest non-alcoholic brewery, is the new Title Sponsor of the Fairfield Road Race. The race is excited for its next chapter with the Connecticut-based brewing company, which aims to positively impact its customers' health, fitness, and happiness while greatly impacting communities and the environment for the better.
 
“We’re thrilled to continue to step up our support of this great community event,” said Bill Shufelt, Co-Founder and CEO of Athletic Brewing Company. “The Fairfield Half Marathon was one of the first road races where we sampled Athletic brews back in 2018. Both co-founder John Walker and I are Connecticut natives, so our roots run deep. We’re excited to bring our great-tasting non-alcoholic brews to participants and spectators this summer.”
 
The Athletic Brewing Company Fairfield Road Race returns in 2024 with the signature two-day event at Jennings Beach in Fairfield, CT. Race organizers of the event are expecting a crowd of nearly 4,000 participants with thousands of spectators.
 
The event takes place on the weekend of June 1st and 2nd. On Saturday, June 1st the 5K and Lil’ Stags Kids Fun Run will take place. New this year, the Athletic Brewing Beer Mile will follow the 5K race. The half marathon will be held on Sunday, June 2nd. The “Lucas Challenge” sponsored by Fairfield University, challenges runners to conquer both the half marathon and the 5k, totaling 16.2 miles during both days of the race weekend.
 
The Post-Race Beach Party, a runner favorite, features live music, food vendors, and an awards ceremony. The race also includes a number of bands and cheer groups along the ½ marathon and 5K racecourses that cheer on all the runners as they pass.
 
The Athletic Brewing Company Fairfield Road Race is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that supports a number of local charities each year. The Fairfield YMCA, Wakeman Boys and Girls Club, Ben’s Lighthouse, and Hole in the Wall Gang Camp are just a few of the organizations that receive thousands of dollars of annual support from the event. 
 
The Athletic Brewing Company Fairfield Road Race is hosted by the Fairfield Fire Fighters and Fire Department. Other race sponsors include Fairfield University, Little Pub, The Surfside Hotel, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, O’Reilly Electric, Connecticut Orthopaedics, Green Farms Academy, Avelo Airlines, Connecticut Orthopaedic Institute at Saint Vincent’s Medical Center, Connecticut Post, UCAN, News 12 Connecticut, 95.9 The Fox, Star 99.9, and AMR.
