Five Things: The Weekend in Fairfield

Here are five things to know about Fairfield for Friday, April 26:     

1. The weather.
Friday will be sunny with a high near 62 degrees. Expect sunny skies on Saturday with a high near 64 and again Sunday, when temperatures are expected to reach 65 degrees.  

2. Congressman Jim Himes' office offers Superstorm Sandy assistance.
Fairfield homeowners, renters, and business owners with unmet needs related to Superstorm Sandy should contact Himes' aide, Amy Lappos, at 203-333-6600 or amy.lappos@mail.house.gov.  

3. Stratford Cat Project Fundraiser at Super Duper Weenie.
"Please have dinner or take-out between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. and a portion of your check will be donated to the STRATFORD CAT PROJECT."  

4. Relay for Life at Sacred Heart University.
The university's fifth annual overnight fundraiser for cancer research is entitled "Relay Rewind" and will incorporate themes from various decades, along with a desire to make cancer a thing of the past.
